From athlete, to student, to doctor, to coach.

BEC was developed out of an incessant need to understand the complicated world of running performance. Founded by a former athlete, now high school coach & PT, the result is years of tinkering over this question – what actually makes a runner perform?

“Working with Dr. Dircksen was a game changer. After struggling with a nagging Achilles injury, I not only got back to full training — I came back stronger. He understood the demands of my training schedule and his rehab plan was a perfect fit.”
